Vanconol® ALI-910 Corrosion Inhibitor
----------Aluminum Alloy
1 🎯 Abstract
Vanconol® ALI-910 Phosphate Ester Corrosion Inhibitor is an anionic corrosion inhibitor prepared by phosphorylation of C9-10 polyether. Its unique molecular structure combines the strong adsorption and chelating ability of phosphate groups with the excellent water solubility and permeability of polyether chains, which can form a dense and firm adsorption protective film on the aluminum alloy surface. It effectively inhibits corrosion, pitting corrosion, discoloration (such as blackening, white rust) and other problems caused by moisture, acid-alkali media and mechanical stress during processing. This product is environmentally friendly, with outstanding alkali resistance, high temperature resistance and hard water resistance, and good compatibility with various additives, making it a core corrosion inhibition functional additive for high-performance aluminum alloy processing fluids.

3 🛠️ Performance Characteristics
Excellent Corrosion Inhibition: Phosphate groups quickly chelate with the aluminum alloy surface to form a hydrophobic dense monomolecular protective film, significantly delaying the corrosion process of aluminum materials.
Wide Adaptability: Maintains excellent corrosion inhibition performance in a wide pH range (especially alkaline environments) and high temperature (≤90°C) conditions, meeting harsh processing conditions.
Superior Comprehensive Performance: Has strong permeability and emulsifying-dispersing ability, helping the effective components of processing fluids penetrate into all parts of complex workpieces and emulsify and remove cutting oil stains. Meanwhile, it has a certain lubricity, which helps reduce tool wear and improve workpiece surface finish.
Environmental Friendliness and Compatibility: Good compatibility with anionic, non-ionic surfactants, alkanolamine corrosion inhibitors (such as borate esters), lubricants, etc., allowing flexible compounding. Free of restricted substances such as heavy metals, easily biodegradable, and in line with environmental protection trends.
4 📝 Application Fields
Aluminum Alloy Processing Fluids: Used as rust inhibitor and corrosion inhibitor in cutting fluids, grinding fluids and lapping fluids.
Metal Cleaners and Pretreatment: Used as rust inhibitor and corrosion inhibitor in degreasers and cleaning fluid formulations.
Forming Processes and Special Lubrication: Used as corrosion inhibitor, extreme pressure agent and lubricant in cold rolling emulsions, stamping fluids, wire drawing oils and lubricating oil formulations.
Other Fields: Used as an additive in rust-preventive chemicals.
5 🧪 Application Guide
5.1 Recommended Dosage and Usage
Dosage: It is recommended to add 1% - 5% in aluminum alloy processing fluid formulations (the specific dosage needs to be determined through tests according to water hardness, processing intensity and rust prevention requirements).
Usage: It is recommended to first dilute this product with an appropriate amount of water or alcohol ether solvent, or slowly add it to the base fluid of processing fluid under stirring to ensure uniform dispersion. Some products need to be neutralized to weakly alkaline with liquid alkali (such as sodium hydroxide) before use to give full play to their performance.
5.2 Reference Compounding Formula
Basic Formula Example:
ALI-910 Phosphate Ester (3%-5%)
Triethanolamine (2%-4%, for pH adjustment and synergistic corrosion inhibition)
Borate Ester Corrosion Inhibitor (3%-5%, enhancing rust prevention)
Coupling Agent (e.g., isopropanol, 2%)
Deionized Water (balance)
5.3 Usage Notes
Optimal pH Window: The corrosion inhibition effect is best in weakly alkaline (pH 8.0-9.5) environments; long-term use under strongly acidic (pH<3) conditions should be avoided.
Temperature Control: The recommended long-term service temperature does not exceed 80°C.
Storage: Seal and store, avoid mixing with strong oxidants.
6 ⚠️ Safety and Storage
Packaging: 50kg/plastic barrel, 200kg/galvanized barrel.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place, avoid direct sunlight and high-temperature environments. Shelf life is 24 months.
Safe Operation: Wear appropriate protective equipment (such as goggles, gloves) during operation. If it comes into contact with skin or eyes, immediately rinse with a large amount of clean water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention if necessary.
